Halfway down the deployment

I'm so happy about the weather and everything else. Finally time is passing by faster. And YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY, we finally made it halfway down the depoyment. Six months down and six more to go. I just can't wait for Brian to come home on RnR in June. We still don't have any dates at all, but I'm hoping to find them out soon. At least approximate dates. I know we want to go away for four days or something, just the three of us.

I hope all of you had a nice Easter. We had very nice weather here and ate lots of good foods. We got tons of chocolates and other candy. Lucas has a very sweet tooth and I have to really watch how much candy and chocolate he eats. Of course he's always the first to find the gummybears on my parent's couch table and of course everyone that come for a visit or so, brings stuff for him. Then I'm always the bad one taking it away, so he doesn't eat too much of it.
Lucas had a blast of course, even though he didn't really search for Easter gifts/candy. I just gave it to him.

This week is already, almost halfway done. How great!!! ;-) We have something planned for every day of the week already

Tuesday (which was today) - we went grocery shopping in HD and then to my parent's house
Wednesday - we will finally meet up with Beata and Sara again! We haven't seen them in two weeks, as they were in Poland to visit family
Thursday - I have to go in to the dentist to get my stiches removed and I'm thinking about other things that we could do that day already
Friday - Playgroup meet up at Johannes Hof in Ketsch
Weekend - probably PX, my parent's and whatever else I can think of

The Ups and Downs of this week

This week was packed with things, which was really nice. It went by really fast.

Tuesday was my Dad's birthday, so we went over there for coffee and cake and also for dinner.
Wednesday was the day Daniela and Aiden came for a visit (see other post) ;-))
Thursday my last two wisdom teeth got pulled and that was quiet a thing.... The last time, the teeth were out pretty quick and without complications. This time it was a little different. The bottom one took forever to get out, because the roots were hook-like.... and then the upper one was still inside, so first they cut it open and then he couldn't get it out and the bad thing was, that I FELT everything. I guess the roots were so deep or something. He had to give me two more shots, which didn't help anything. I still felt everything. With the last shot he said, that he's gonna try one more time and if it doesn't come out, we'll have to stop. I was thinking... "What?!?!?" I mean,.. it's halfdone, how can you just leave it like this. Thankfully it came out and my chaw hurt really bad. So it took about 45 minutes to an hour for both of them and they sewed it.
The good thing was, that I was staying with my parents that night, so I had somebody for Lucas just in case. But it wasn't too bad. The healing process is okay. Of course now, two days after, my cheek looks like the one of a hamster and my head is hurting, but it's ok.

So now we have a the Easter weekend ahead of us and I'm looking forward to it. The bad thing is, that it will take me hours to eat something, but it's ok.

I'm wishing all of you a happy Easter with your loved ones and hopefully the weather will be just as wonderful as for us.

Visitors from Tennesse

Today was a really nice day. We had visitors from Tennesse. My friend Daniela and her cutie Aiden came for a visit. I've only known her online until now and it was really nice to finally meet her in person. Aiden is such a cute little guy!
We had lots of fun with them. Lucas' new favorite word is "Aida" or at least something that sounds like it... ;-)
Can you believe that our boys are almost one year apart? I can't believe how tall my little guy is.

Other than that everything is great on our ends. The weather is awsome.
Tomorrow will be a mostly bad day for myself. My last two wisdom teeth are getting pulled. So wish me luck, that it will be better than last time and not swell up.

Scrapbooking again

I didn't do too much scrapbooking lately. Anyhow, I wanted to share a few pages I made this week. I'm a little upset, that the rub on thingy on the page 'Father, my friend' came off a little bit.

I'm just using pictures of Lucas, about a year ago. He was six months old and I can't believe how chubby he was.... ;-)

Soooo nice to be outside

YAY, two days ago, it finally started warming up and today we were already wearing short sleeves for a little bit. It's soooooo nice to spend time outdoors and especially Lucas loves it. He loves going for walks and even if we're just having coffee time at my parent's house and the balcony door is open, he spends the whole time out on the balcony.

So what's been going on this week? I have a couple of things that I have to take care of in these next couple of days/weeks. This week one of my heaters broke and now it's heating the whole time (of course just right for the weather right now... I think you can imagine the sauna in my living room). My dad tried to repair it two days ago, but the switch wasn't the right kind and it still doesn't shut off all the way. I bought a new one yesterday and it doesn't fit. So my dad is trying to come by my apartment tomorrow and hopefully will be able to fix it.
I also have to see, how I can make some room in our little basement.... It's packed with stuff and now the new owners of the house told me, that I need to put the back seats of our van, which we took out to make space for the strollers and an AC that's sitting underneath the stairs in the hallway, away... Brian put it there, because we have not a single room to put it... now I have to make room somehow. As of now, I think I won't be able to manage it, but I'll do my best.
Also, my cousin and her family will be moving out June 1st. I'm already sad about this fact, because I'm sure I'll miss them. But today I was thinking and it came to me, that for sure they will take the satelite dish with them, when they move. The thing is, my satelite decoder is connected with their dish. So when they take it away, I'll be without TV.... I know there's worse things ... hahah. But I still have to think about a solution. I think I'll wait a couple of weeks then until Brian comes on RnR and hopefully, we find our dish somewhere and he can put it up (:-p I love you baby :-)))))

Actually waiting for Grandma, to come home from work. But she never showed up

He finally got rid of that stupid hat...

Grandpa trying to distract him from taking his hat down

Yes, we know the hat is not pretty, but it's the only one that I could find at such short notice at DM..... Go figure.... they had about 10 different kind of sun hats for girls in all kinds of sizes and only about two kinds for boys in that size.... so that was the nicer one
