Big Trucks & Fast Cars

This weekend the Mall in Watertown hosted a little exhibition for kids "Big Trucks & Fast Cars". All the money that they made was donated to the Watertown Zoo.

Lucas was in heaven. There were all kinds of big vehicles (diggers, loaders, firetrucks, ambulances, garbage truck and of course racecars). The kids were able to sit in some of them. Lucas was very fascinated as always, but of course too much of a chicken at first to sit in one of them. Once we got him to sit in one, though, he wanted to sit in every one that he saw. For some reason the garbage truck still scared him a little. Maybe because he loves it so much, I don't know.

Armed Forces Parade

Last Saturday was Armed Forces Day. They had a nice Parade downtown Watertown. Lucas loved all the cars and he actually got quite a bit of candy, too.

Old McDonald has a farm - Sackets Harbor NY

Last Sunday we went to Old McDonald has a Farm in Sackets Harbor. It's a huge farm with over 200 animals. They have all kinds of animals that you can feed and pet and offer different tours like the "Wizard of Oz Hay Ride' and a 'Diary Tour'. They opened their doors for visitors this month (every year from May till fall). Lucas had a great blast and didn't even want to leave. We definitaly want to go back there again and again. Next time we want to check out the diary tour, since we didn't take it that time.

Feeding the goats some popcorn
