Last Friday I made it to the mailroom. I was a little worried, cause these past three times I couldn't get that suptid maillock open... I know I'm blond and stupid... (thanks Brian..) So this time I tried it for like 10 minutes and I was on the verge of giving up and asking a lady for help again, when it finally openend. YAAAAAAAAAY.... and I got two boxes in from grandma Arlene. Thank you so much grandma again. We loved all the gifts. We finally got to listen to the personalized Cd for Lucas (children songs that all have his name in it) and it's too cute!! I already wore the black pullover and it kept me so warm. The oil defuser is already doing its job in the living room and of course Lucas got to watch Sesame Street for the first time (too cute). I'm gonna go through the cook book this week and see if I find something yummi to make. Oh Brian said I am supposed to wear the appron for him, when he gets back... (dirty mind.... *lol*) Of course all the other things were really nice as well!!

Then yesterday we finally got to open our 'secret pal' gifts from the GermanSpouses Forum. I was so happy about my 'Wichtelmama'. She's the best!!! She even thought about Lucas and put something in for him.... Thank you so much Yvonne!!!
We opened it right after breakfast. Your cookies were very yummie. The tea is awsome as well and last night I got to try out one of the bathperls thingy. I used the purple one and it smelled so delicious!

Mach dir nichts draus, ich konnte die dumme Mailbox auf der Base auch nie aufmachen. Hab da auch immer ewig probiert und habs nie geschafft. Tim hat auch immer gesagt, ist doch total einfach...LOL
Da bin ich aber froh, dass ich nicht die Einzigste bin... *lol*
hihi , ich hab die Mailbox anfangs auch nicht aufbekommen, aber wenn man den Dreh raus hat, dann klappts.

Haha das ist ja witzig... hat mich echt dran erinnert das ich das scheiss Ding auch nie aufbekommen hab... Habs mir die Sachen dann immer vom Paketabholschalter aus geben lassen, die koennen da ja reingucken... *lol*
Ich hab die Mailbox auch nur ganz selten mal aufbekommen. Was das aber auch fuer bloede Teile sind

I hear you. Ging mir auch lange so. Nun habe ich den Trick raus.
1. auf null drehen
2. zur ersten Zahl drehen
3. einmal ganz rum und dann erst zur 2. Zahl drehen
3. zur 3 Zahl drehen und kurz vor der Zahl den Knopf schon zu Dir herziehen
Damit klappt es bei mir nun beim 1. Mal. Gerade der Tipp auch mit dem 'den Knopf zu sich ziehen' hat es auf einmal richtig gut geklappt.
Nicht aufgeben, ich hab auch schon viele Soldaten gesehen die Probleme hatten. Meine Ausrede ist ja immer dass ich nie in einer amerikanischen Schule war, lol.

Danke Diana, so probier ich das naechste Mal. Ich dreh immer erst dreimal nach links bevor ich zur ersten Zahl geh... so steht es auf dem Papier?!
Die ersten zwei mal hab ich immer um Hilfe gebeten am Schalter. Aber statt das die mir einfach die Post geben, ist dann immer einer raus (leider was es zweimal der selbe und mir war das so peinlich, da er mich wieder erkannt hat).
Ich hab so oft probiert beim letzten Mal, weil ich nicht nochmal fragn wollte. Es hat ja dann nach 10 Min geklappt, aber ich weiss nicht mehr was ich jetzt anders gemacht hab....
Mensch ihr LIeben, es tut so gut zu hoeren, dass ich nicht die Einzigste bin/war, die das nicht geschafft hat.
